Space Colony Base Maya (Final Part 2)

I decided to reacher how to make a actual sic fi level with polygons. I wanted to do something out of aliens or halo The he human space colony structures in both of those series is a king of structure I have always liked

This was the image I used as a base

So in the end , after multiple online help resources on how to build certain pieces  of I cam out with this rendered polygon structure. I used a huge amount of modeling techniques to best fit the concept image and a neat lighting technique (the red emergency light often seen in sic fi)

Game Scene (Final project part 1)

So for my final project I decided to take a step back into photoshop and work on some form of game related 2d art. Ive always been a fan of the intense photoshop made concept art that creators are able to make by throwing elements from random pictures into one. After a few days of looking into photoshop lessons and techniques for concept art creation I decided to take a crack at it myself. After 3 days of constant adjustments I finally managed to put together a convincing scene of a distant future city, most likely on some other planet, say a human colony in a game.

Ive found myself more interested in the futuristic scenes and styles in relation to my game project and I think this scene is a good example of a city a player could build if the game allowed the player to and and colonize extraterrestrial planets.

drone model final

here is the rendered result of the drone model. I chose to put in a kind of IRobot, Wall-e  look on it with the textures. The eye was also importune to illuminate red to give it an intimidating look. A lot of people said it reminded them of the turrets on the Portal series which I agreed (not having thought that priorly) so i then decided to use less dark colors and really pull out the white clean high tech look of it.
I figure this would make a good standard unit of a futuristic army.
