Here some NOVA ROMA related images with mood boards
This one here is for the newly released triple A title "Total War Rome 2". the coloration here is pretty clear, its one about the burning of a country side in a ancient war. 75% of the color boards show a kind of burnt out country side with dark and Imperial colors, the only exception is the brightness brought about by the yellow of the fire with itself does not lighten up the scene but further seem to burn it up more. It has this sense of ash burnt country side combined with what I would call Imperial power

Game
This game, Nova Roma (The present working title) is meant to be a kind of grand strategy game that allows the player to take control of a nation during ancient times. The point Being to not only build and conquer but to maintain a stable state of homeostasis with in the nation. The focus of the game is to give the player the idea of taking control of history and bedding it to how they see fit. Well note as in-depth as a simulator the player should get from the game a solid feeling of strategic decision and that it really does matter what modifying policies they instill on their nation and how they move their armies on the campaign map.
The idea really steams from my love of grand strategy titles. There are not many out there, even less of popular note. Ive always loved the idea of history and Imperial politics. In terms of art I would say its important to keep it period loyal, meaning how it looks and the athestics must be from the ancient world in order to better immerse the player into the idea of ruling an Imperial power from that time period, Its something Ive always found to be a great way of combing a period basic history game with the mechanics in a grand strategy game such as this. Bring out the positive and artistic beauty of human Civilization
Here is a PSed up mock of 4 some graphic images that best define what this game is all about

Frist go at R.P.S. rules
Image for potential rules set up
Here are some basic schematics for a page setup.
It should be simple, its a simple game, and requires only a brief into with a short set of rules and maybe two pictures. its important to keep tutorials simple especially sense it is a simple game.
This is all it needs
- 1 nice header
-1 Rules (short)
-1 basic intro and background about the game
- 1 basic image of the hand gesture required for each hand
Keep it simple in worlds but make it inviting with some kind of imagery

However its important to make it inviting, make it seem like a game, the writing has to be simple but the images used can be the more complex part that is important to grab the player.
This is a great image I found that really presents it as a game, and invites the player to view it as a game
but one could add nice background and wallpaper in order make the rules look more instructing. this grabs the reader better and makes getting into a new process easier and quicker.
These would be on top or in the backround of the rules sheet
